Avanture Architects (AA) is a Vancouver based architecture firm with two subsidiary firms in Shanghai and Taipei. The founding partners of AA and senior staff have over 15+ years of solid local practice experience as well as overseas experience. Our Vancouver office maintains a scale of 20+ staff with a variety of background and expertise.  

AA is an energetic interdisciplinary firm that integrates strong, distinctive visual design with practical components at multiple scales, from conceptual and master planning, to feasibility studies, to residential, commercial and cultural projects, nationwide and overseas. AA delivers a full service in both architectural and interior design practice.

Wilson Chang

Wilson is the catalyst for maximizing developmental gains with his unique design strategies. He is best at taking on challenges – through creative process coupled with intense critical thinking – he aims for efficacious solutions and efficient schedules.  Wilson strongly believes in connecting people in both the physical environments and digital domains with the transformative power of architecture.

Martin Liew

An award-winning architect, Martin has a solid Canadian architectural experience after graduating from the School of Architecture, UBC.  As a registered Architect in BC, he is also a member of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design of U.S. Green Building.  With years of extensive experience in architecture practice, Martin is able to offer a full range of high-quality architectural consultation services including: master planning, building design, building programming, building systems coordination, construction administration, construction documents, and project management.

Peter Martin

Previously engaged as an architectural designer and 3D visualisation specialist for several well-known Berlin Architects, Peter has successfully participated in multiple International architectural competitions and local constructions. Since coming to Canada he designed multiple buildings, including single and multi-family homes, high rises and commercial developments.

Joe Hwang

With over 15 years of Vancouver and Lower Mainland working experience, Joe specializes extensively in both hi-end wood-frame and concrete multi-residential projects.  He also contributes his expertise in boutique institutional architecture and interior designs.  Joe believes that architecture is an intelligent built form which is the product of social, economic and environmental forces.

Lee Li

Lee has years of proven track record in architectural design in both China and Canada.  He has a particular passion for detailed design and ultra-realistic, ultra-high quality renderings of architectural models.Lee manages our team in China and he is also a licensed architect in China.

Lulu Ban

Lulu is responsible for all financial aspects and the whole process of the business-from analysis and setting targets to follow-up and pursuing profitability.  With her strong accounting background and business management experience developed through work, she thinks of ways to measure and report on the key indicators, identify cost saving opportunities and efficiency gains, successfully develop and implement methods, as well as forecast the gaps and opportunities of the business.

David Lin

An experienced internet/technology/startup veteran, David has 15+ years of solid experience in digital and social marketing, digital product management, international team management, e-commerce business operations and platform services models.  David manages our team in Taiwan, and devises digital strategies that merge architecture and digital technology to create new opportunities for our clients, our team, and the people who will be living in the buildings we design.
